Uphill skinning is becoming increasingly popular and Swain Resort welcomes all winter enthusiasts! Uphill travel is permitted at Swain at your own risk. Failure to abide by these rules may result in seizure of season pass, lift ticket or your removal from the premises.
Uphill skinning, cross country skiing, or alpine touring (whatever you want to call it!) is permitted during the winter operating season at Swain. All travelers must have a valid season pass, uphill pass or day pass. Uphill passes are available for $49 for the season or for $15 for the day. (Uphill travel is included for season pass holders.)
CAUTION: If you access trails outside of normal operating hours, please be aware that you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK. There will be no Ski Patrol on the mountain during this time, and hazards may not be marked. In case of emergency, call 911 and understand that response times will be longer. Use extra caution and stay away from equipment and machinery.
