Job Title: Shop Mechanic

Location: Swain Resort – Swain, NY
Status: Full Time
Pay Rate Range: $17.00 – $21.00
Position Summary
The Shop Mechanic at Swain Resort is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the resort’s vehicles,lifts and other equipment at the ski area.. Shop Mechanics play a key role in ensuring guest safety, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors on the mountain.
Initial Duties & Responsibilities
- Basic Mechanic Skills (trucks, tractors, snow groomers)
- Maintain equipment so the area runs smoothly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and surrounding areas.
- Uphold all resort safety standards and policies at all times.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and during peak resort periods in season
- Summer hours will be a normal 8-4 days.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to work on diesel and gas engines
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold, snow, and wind.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
