Status: Seasonal / Full-Time / Part-Time (depending on needs)
Pay Rate Range: $10.35 + Tips (no tip pooling)
Position Summary
The Waitstaff at Swain Resort provides outstanding guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring each guest has an enjoyable dining experience. This position plays a key role in representing the resort’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere in all Food & Beverage outlets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly in a warm, friendly manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the resort’s POS system.
- Deliver orders promptly, ensuring correct presentation and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, tables, and workstations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
- Handle payments accurately and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any needs or concerns promptly.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with banquets, special events, and busy weekends as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous serving or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented, positive, and professional attitude.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
