Pay Rate Range: $15.50-$17.50
Position Summary
The Line Cook at Swain Resort is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items quickly and efficiently according to resort standards. This position ensures that all food served is of the highest quality and prepared in a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets resort quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen and workstations.
- Assist with prep work, restocking, and rotating ingredients as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all food safety and handling procedures, including temperature checks and proper storage.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Support the team during high-volume periods and special events.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as directed by the manager.
Qualifications
- Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred; willing to train motivated candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
