Status: Seasonal / Full-Time / Part-Time (depending on needs)
Pay Rate Range: $16-$17
Availability Limits: Evenings, weekends, and holiday availability required

Position Summary

      The Seasonal Facilities Department at Swain Resort is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, and essential services to support guests and employees. The Seasonal Facilities Technician helps ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment through routine maintenance, snow removal, and general property upkeep during peak resort seasons.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine building maintenance, including minor repairs to heating, lighting, and other facility systems.

  • Perform snow removal, trash removal, parking lot upkeep, and general grounds maintenance.

  • Monitor facilities and surrounding areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.

  • Support event setups, seasonal projects, and facility improvements.

  • Respond to maintenance requests and report repair needs to supervisors.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.

  • Follow all resort safety and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications
  • Previous facilities, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred but not required.

  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and working in winter conditions.

  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.
