Location: Swain Resort – Swain, NY

Status: Seasonal / Full-Time / Part-Time (depending on needs)

Pay Rate Range: $15.50-$17.50

Position Summary

The Dishwasher at Swain Resort is an essential part of the kitchen team, responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. This position supports the cooks and front-of-house staff by ensuring dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use throughout the day.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using the dish machine and/or by hand.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, kitchen, and storage spaces.
  • Empty trash, clean floors, and assist with daily closing and cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Restock clean dishes and supplies to appropriate areas as needed.
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic prep or other tasks as directed.
  • Communicate any equipment or supply issues to the manager or lead cook.
  • Follow all resort and safety policies, maintaining a clean and positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • No previous experience required—training will be provided.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
