Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager at Swain Resort oversees the daily operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring high-quality dining experiences for guests in a fast-paced mountain environment. This position is responsible for managing staff, coordinating kitchen and service operations, maintaining compliance with food safety standards, and delivering exceptional guest service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all Food & Beverage outlets, including kitchens, dining areas, and bars.
- Supervise, train, and schedule food and beverage staff to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan menus, specials, and event offerings.
- Ensure compliance with all food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage costs to meet budget goals.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across all F&B areas.
- Coordinate setup and execution of banquets, events, and special functions.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous management experience in a food & beverage environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and scheduling best practices.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
