Location: Swain Resort – Swain, NY

Status: Seasonal / Full-Time / Part-Time (depending on needs)

Pay Rate Range: $15.50-$17.50

Availability Limits: weekend and holiday availability required

Position Summary

The Ticket Window Cashier at Swain Resort is responsible for providing friendly, accurate, and efficient service to guests purchasing lift tickets, season passes, or other ticketed products. This position serves as a key point of contact for guests and helps ensure a smooth, positive experience at the resort.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Accurately process ticket, pass, and other product sales using the resort’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions responsibly and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Provide information about ticket types, pricing, and promotions.
  • Assist guests with ticket pickup, exchanges, or upgrades as needed.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness at the ticket window and surrounding areas.
  • Communicate effectively with other Ticketing staff and Guest Services to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all safety, liability, and confidentiality procedures.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-day procedures as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Detail-oriented and able to handle transactions accurately.
  4. Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
  5. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.
